Last week my laptop completely froze on me, so I had to send it for repairs. This means I’ve not had much of a chance to look through the latest releases. Although, judging from the covers, there seem to be a number of upbeat and summery ones coming up already.
One thing I’m glad publishers do is to re-release books a year or two after they first hit the shelves. Yes, I also wish that paperbacks would come out at the same time as hardcovers, so that’s kind of at odds. Neither do I collect multiple editions. The reason I’m glad is that they put backlist titles on my radar again; titles that I meant to read in the past but for some reason didn’t get to yet. I hope that by including them week in, week out, some of you have found books too that previously fell through the cracks.
Strange the Dreamer hits the shelves this week! I’m sure many of you have been waiting for for Laini Taylor’s book to finally released. Also out this week: A Crown of Wishes! I’ve heard so many good things about the first book in the series, I can’t wait to get started on it as well. Among the other books publishing this week, I’m most intrigued by Things I Should Have Known. This book is about sisters, one of whom is autistic, while the other is determined to help her find love. Sister dynamics, in my opinion, don’t feature enough in books, so I’m glad to find out about this one.
