I’ve finally collated my July reading stats. Turns out, it was a decent reading month for me. Altogether, I read 11 books, one of which (When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon) was a re-read. Of the other ten, four were books I received for review. I’m especially pleased with that because this means I reduced my TBR pile for review to less than ten books, making it significantly more manageable.
Before July comes to end too, let me quickly round up my June reading stats! I’ve not been blogging as much as I’d like, but I’m glad to say that hasn’t affected my reading. Or maybe, it’s because I’ve been reading so much, that I didn’t have much time left to blog. Hah. Altogether, I finished 16 books in June. As always, audiobooks boosted that number.
Things were good in May reading-wise. I read more than I did on average over the previous three months, which surprised me. April was my worst reading month since January 2016. Usually I manage at least six books per month but in April, I was down to four. Then came May, and I bounced back, tripling the amount I read.
March was an even worse reading month over January compared to February. There are several reasons for this. For one, I’ve been decluttering my things since January. I was determined to finish as much as possible by the end of March. That meant I had much less time left for reading. I’m also back to training three times a week for the upcoming season and other competitions. This will only increase in the coming months as I look to put in extra hours by myself as well. At least I can listen to audiobooks while running.
February was a much slower reading month compared to January. That was to be expected since I read way more books then than I usually manage. Last month I read 10 books, which still is decent. In fact, while the quantity decreased, the quality increased. My average rating was 3.972 out of 5. That’s a jump of nearly 0.5!
