Lately I’ve been getting more and more confused about which books have already been published over those that have yet to be released. Take Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff. It wasn’t until Crini showed me a review copy that I realized it that its publication was set for later that month. Yet all along I thought it was already in stores because of all the high praises it had been receiving.
So, in order to keep up with which books are already available, I’ve decided to consolidate weekly YA releases as reference for all of us. If you’re interested in upcoming releases further into the future, you may follow the new Goodreads account that I set up to track release dates. I’ll be updating it constantly. As of now I’ve noted the YA books releasing this month. Feel free to let me know if I’ve overlooked any titles. Please note that I’m only including books released through publishers. Consolidating self-published books requires resources I do not have.

Ahhhh I LOVE posts like these because omg I never know what’s happening with book releases these days. -_- And I didn’t realise Until We Meet Again was already out. YAY.

That’s exactly how I feel. ARCs and published books overlap so much in the book blogosphere, I keep getting confused.

I love these posts, thank you for compiling them! I am actually on a very strict book budget at the moment though so all I can do is pine forever. I also thought Fearless is out in PB already for a good 6 months now? It could be because I’m Australian though.

I’m glad you find these posts of use! :) Ah, yeah, US paperback editions often come out much later than the UK/AUS paperback editions.

LEGIT. I thought we weren’t friends on Goodreads when I opened that profile. You had me…
Joséphine Simone says
HAHAHA. Now we’re doubly friends ;)
Zoe @ Stories on Stage says
Ahh! This is so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to put this together!
Joséphine Simone says
I’m glad it’s a useful post for you, Zoe! :)

Haha, I was about to say the same thing as Crini, then also realized it wasn’t this week. I’m actually relieved that none of these books are on my to-read shelf. I need some time to catch up! The only new release I’m looking forward to this week is Tower of Thorns by Juliet Marillier, which is adult fantasy.

I pre-ordered Forget Tomorrow and own the UK edition of The Anatomical Shape of a Heart. Other than that, I was glad that I didn’t up my tar pile with even more books this week. Lol.
Crini says
Great idea! (you forgot Winter! :O)
Wow, that GR account looks like a lot of work!
Crini says
oh wait, sorry. I was thinking of all of November. Oops!
Joséphine Simone says
Lol. I triple checked this morning that I did indeed shelve Winter ’cause I got confused about the actual week too.
As for shelving, good thing Edelweiss links most of the books to their Goodreads pages ;) But yeah, I did break everything down into year and month as well, so I don’t have to go searching again for dates of releases that have yet to be announced.
