Hot off the Press – Apr 4, 2016

April 4, 2016

Hot off the Press — Stay up to date with weekly YA releases | wordrevel.com

This week the sheer amount of new book is incredibly overwhelming! At the same time, it’s amazing how much young adult publishing has grown over the past one, two decades. The only pity is that it’s impossible to read them all in one lifetime. Also, at the rate YA books are published, dedicated YA libraries should become a thing, no? Then the resources would exclusively be there to build up the YA collection, which would surely help less known authors.

A dedicated YA library would probably be my version of heaven. I know there are two dedicated YA stores in Australia, and one is in Brisbane. I just haven’t managed to get to it yet.

I can’t believe how many books are coming out this month – it is so hectic! But fabulous. And also sad, because there’s no way I can ever read all the amazing books that I want to, because there will never be enough time *gross sobbing*

It’s a little saddening that there are only two historical fiction novels coming out. That genre obviously needs more love. And poor dystopian, falling from its high place of several years ago.

The mystery/horror/thriller section was perfect for me right now because I am on a MASSIVE binge :D Added several titles!

    Thanks for this, lovely <3

If there were a YA dedicated library, I would happily visit! I read mostly YA, and it would be a joy just to be able to explore a big, carefully curated YA collection of novels :)

There are so many books released this week :o So many books, so little time! I never encountered any YA library, but I bet I’d visit EVERYDAY if there’s one near where I live. Imagine all YA books ever published just lined up waiting to be read. It’s such an amazing idea<33
