Looking at the contemporary releases lined up this week, it’s evident that summer’s arriving. Vibrant colours and the sun are staying with us over the next couple of months. At the same time, there’re some great fantasy books coming out next month as well. Meanwhile, I’m gonna take my pick of beach reads below among these YA books hot off the press.

I always think it’s quite funny that all the US summer books are released when it’s finally getting cold down here, haha. At least I can live vicariously in their warmth (even though I don’t actually LIKE summer).
I’ve only read two books on this list, but a bunch of the others are on my TBR.
It always makes me a little sad to see how few historical novels are released D: Even though it’s not my favourite genre by any means, I think that there are so many wonderful stories to be told, and I wonder if there is just not enough demand for the genre for there to be more releases? :(
