Hot off the Press — Stay up to date with weekly YA releases | wordrevel.com

Third week running without a single YA historical fiction release. Makes me wonder, aren’t there enough readers for publishers to fill that void? Is there a lack of authors interested in writing historical fiction? Or does too much of what could constitute historical fiction get absorbed into fantasy?

I really enjoyed The Romantics, I hope a lot of people will enjoy it too when it’s released :) I think it’s because historical fiction usually regarded as an adult book? Most “historical fiction” in YA fiction tends to be in fantasy fiction, not in real historical fiction. I guess the interest in them are also low that publishers don’t really pay attention to them.
