I’ve had another week behind me, basically enjoying my freedom from responsibilities. I cleared all the clutter from my room and threw out all those university readings and notebooks I don’t need anymore. For the first time in months, I can see the floor beneath my desk and my bed. My room looks so much better organised, and is so much more relaxing to be in now.
Since I’ve been having so much time on my hands, I’ve been at the library a whole lot too. It’s no wonder then that I’ve got library books piling up in my room. Hopefully I’ll be able to read a sizeable chunk of the lot. After Lunar New Year next weekend, I’ll start looking into job applications. Fingers crossed!
It looks like I’ve finally gotten into the rhythm of things on the blog, so I managed to post every day the past week. It’s a satisfying feeling, looking back. Although, I don’t intend to pressure myself into keeping up a daily posting schedule. I don’t think I’d be able to keep this up in the long run but let’s ride this wave while it lasts.

Some of you might remember that I had difficulty finding a use for BookLikes. Well, I found something BookLikes is splendid for, and that is posting multiples book covers with their information. All I need to do is include them in the post, so users can click on them to find out more. The hassle of doing up book haul posts is one of the reasons I haven’t done any on here. If I post a book cover, I feel compelled to link it up to Goodreads or something, so it’s easy to look up the information. Doing it for more than a dozen is tedious, so I don’t do it. I suppose it has something to do with not liking it when come across book covers that are non-clickable or lead me to the image source. I get peeved.
So, in comes BookLikes. I launched my feature Books On My Desk, where I’ll showcase the library books I currently have in possession. It also kinda fits with my intended use of BookLikes as a place to post things related to my reading but don’t think should go onto the main blog. Dudette Reads itself shall be a space where I review books, discuss bookish topics, etc, where I share my opinions.
