Epic Recs: February 2014

February 10, 2014

Epic Recs

Epic Recs is a feature hosted by Amber at Books of Amber and Judith at Paper Riot. It’s an informal book club of sorts, where it’s all about the book pushing. And reading, of course. Pick a partner or request a partner through Amber and Judith to join in the fun.

When I first stumbled upon their feature last December, I thought, Hey! That’s something I’d like to do, so I signed up to be allocated a partner. That is how Olena at Booky Thoughts and Me came together to recommend books to one another. Since we didn’t actually know anything about each other, we took the month of January to get know each other a little better, so here we are.

Olena decided to give me two choices, allowing me to pick one. She was so spot on with her recommendation though, that I had just started on one of these books shortly before she emailed me. Naturally, I went with the other other books then. This means that this month I will be reading Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally. The book I chose for her is Red Ink by Julie Mayhew.

I hope you both have fun! And it’s such a great idea to get to know each other before you start recommending books. I’m so glad you’re happy with your pairing. I hope you love your recs!

Yeah, guess we figured knowing what kinds of books we like would make this more fun and also a little less intimidating. Thank you for taking the time to organize the pairings, Amber! :)
