In April I read The Almost Truth by Eileen Cook, as per Olena‘s recommendation. Olena in turn read North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley. I hadn’t heard of The Almost Truth until Olena recommended it, so it was a new to me. It was a pretty decent book, and I liked that it was light-hearted. I reviewed it on the blog a month ago.
I realize that May is practically over but I still have every intention to read Olena’s rec for this month, even if I end up reading it in June.
Olena picked The Sky is Everywhere for me. She says it’s a beautiful book, and the characters made quite an impression on her.
I asked her to read The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler. It was one of my favourite books last year. I was in an emotional turmoil thanks to it, crying and smiling at the same time. I have so much love for The Book of Broken Hearts, and if you have not read it either, you should!
