Mise-en-scène: Lights

Mise-en-scene: Lights – Being Friends with Boys on Kindle Paperwhite

When it comes to night time reading, my Kindle Paperwhite trumps all. I love how the screen lights up in the dark, so I can sit down on the balcony and overlook the city while reading. I love how this allows me to absorb the atmosphere of the night lights which doesn’t work so well when reading printed books.

How do you read at night?

I’ve been away from the book blogging community for a little while and one ‘type’ of post I’ve honestly missed are these. This picture is beautiful!

I’m always envious of those who have the Paperwhite Kindle… I have the original Kindle, I’ll have to upgrade it at some point.

Wow, Josephine! That pictures is beautiful! I don’t currently have a working e-reader, so at night I usually do it the old-fashioned way- lights on, with a print book. A couple years ago I won a very old Kindle in a poetry contest. It wasn’t touch screen and I eventually lost the charger. Maybe in the future I’ll get another e-reader, but I primarily read print books, so I’m satisfied with my nighttime methods for now. Lovely post:)

Great photo! I love blurred lights in night photography.

I was just given a Kindle Voyage, and I’m nervous about the backlighting. It doesn’t strain your eyes the way a laptop or tablet would? I love my old ink-based Kindle Touch.
