In light of Eating Disorder Awareness Week, this week’s theme focuses on eating disorders. I have to admit that I’ve not read all that many books on that matter, so I took it upon myself to look for YA books that revolve around the issue. One upcoming release that struck my attention was Paperweight by Meg Haston.
One thing that we tend to forget is that eating disorders are often linked to mental health problems. Mental health is always difficult to gauge and early onset of eating disorders more often than not fly under the radar. This is why it’s important to raise awareness, so that we can help and support our loved ones affected by it. To find out more about the Eating Disorder Awareness week, please visit the Beat website.
