As we approach the end of the year, the publishing industry once again heads into a lull. There are more paperback and re-releases than new ones. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. If you’re like me, you’ll have acquired quite a lot of 2016-releases without having had the time to read them all. Now’s the time to catch up on all those books before things pick up again in January. That being said, I definitely recommend you pick up Heartless by Marissa Meyer. It’s one of my favourites this year.

Hot off the Press – October 31, 2016
Third week running without a single YA historical fiction release. Makes me wonder, aren’t there enough readers for publishers to fill that void? Is there a lack of authors interested in writing historical fiction? Or does too much of what could constitute historical fiction get absorbed into fantasy?
Hot off the Press – October 24, 2016
Though there aren’t any particularly hyped books coming out this week, there are a substantial number of titles to choose from. Markedly absent from the new releases is historical fiction again. Other than that, I’m sure there’s something to satisfy every reading taste. Remember, clicking on the book covers will lead you to Goodreads where you can read the synopses to find out more.
