Project 52 – Bucket List

January 1, 2016

Bookish Scene - Bucket List

Bookish Scene: Project 52

Happy New Year, guys! Georgie and I are delighted to kick off 2016 with our weekly book photography challenge. We’ve had a number of people sign up so far and a few more who expressed interest in participating. If you would like to join us in our bookish project, hop on over here to sign up.

Bucket List

Reading-wise, my bucket list for 2016 is really simple: read more books from my shelves. I’ve read less than half (more like only 1/7th) of the books that I own. I want to change that. If someone were to pull a book from a bookshelf today, chances are, I wouldn’t be able to say much about it. That thought makes me kinda sad. It’d be much more exciting if every other book that someone pulls is also one I can talk about because I’ve read it. Besides, I bought these books because they sounded like I would enjoy them. Thus, as part of my bucket list, enjoy them I shall this year.

What’s on your bucket list this year??

Be sure to visit Georgie for her photos. If you’re participating, add your link below. Then go on and click the other links to view everyone’s photos!

Bookish Scene: Project 52 is a weekly book photography challenge that Georgie and I are hosting. To join, grab your books and camera, and have fun!

Such a fun photo. I love this challenge…it combines two of my favorite things. :) My bucket list are all books I own, and have been meaning to read. :)

Yay bucket list! As you know, my bucket list item this year is to read more classics. I definitely want to go out of my way to try titles new-to-me. Wishing us both luck with our goals! <3

Wow that’s such a cool photo!
With regards to Bookish Scene Project 52 – do we post a photo, along with a description of how it aligns with the theme of the week?

Thank you, Geraldine! :) You’re free add a short caption or write a couple of accompanying paragraphs if you feel inclined to say more. So long as your photo relates to the theme in some way you’re good. We keep the themes fairly open-ended to encourage creativity. Sometimes they’re more specific but even then, you may detect double-meanings ;)

That picture is so freaking cool!! How on earth did you do that? Your goal is also mine! I have so many unread books on my shelf and I want to remedy that!

Thank you, Sara! :D It took a tripod, self-timer and a fair bit of contorting, and a combination of eight photos. Hoho. Go us! Will be sure to check in to see how you progress along the year.

OMG THIS PICTURE is so cool!! YOU HAVE SOME STRONG FINGERS (: I have yet to check out this challenge but I will now. I love photography and it’s become a big part of my life.

Hahaha. Thank you, Nova! And yes, strong fingers were involved but I had to help them out too by stitching together several photos. Maybe some day I’ll truly be able to keep that kinda strength and balance in my index fingers ;)

Join us! You won’t regret it!
