While this is my first time participating in Book of Books, it’s already into its 15th installation! To keep track of my progress and some of the challenges, I will be updating this space, so keep coming back for more ;)

Reading Progress
Day 1, Jan 4
Started: The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, The Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove
Pages read: 24
Listening time: 3h 20 mins (= ca. 100 pages)
Was busier today than I had anticipated, so didn’t get to sit down very much with The Knife of Never Letting Go. I did have things to do though that I allowed me to listen to an audiobook at the same time. The Glass Sentence has been a great pick. It’s engaging, quite original and I love the narrator.
Day 2, Jan 5
Started: The Heavenly Collection by Annie Dalton
Continued: The Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove
Pages read: 154
Listening time: 4h (= ca. 125 pages)
Ended up deviating from the TBR pile I planned because I was looking more for a pick-me-up. I used to enjoy the Angels Unlimited series when I was younger, so I decided to go with a re-read. Was too preoccupied with finding out about the catfishing debacle that was uncovered. I was on the receiving as well. This led me to write a Goodreads review of this book I’ve never read.
Day 3, Jan 6
Finished: The Glass Sentence by S.E. Grove
Continued: The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Pages read: 10
Listening time: 8h 48 mins (= ca. 300 pages)
After listening so much to my audiobook, I was a little too exhausted to continue reading paperbacks. Concentration levels were spent. In any case, I finished my first book for the read-a-thon, so yay! May Day 4 be more successful for paper.
Day 4, Jan 7
Continued: The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness
Pages read: 100
Would you believe it? I missed the submission deadline for the Day 2 challenge. Oops. Since I took the photo and don’t want to tire you guys with yet another photo of The Knife of Never Letting Go, I decided to share my rainbow covers anyway. In any case, I’ve reached this week’s 100-page mark for my buddy read, so I’m taking a break and starting something new that I can breeze through more easily for the read-a-thon.
Day 5, Jan 8
Started: Counting Stars by Keris Stainton
Pages read: 110
Bout of Books 15 is almost over. Just left with Saturday and Sunday, then that’s it. So far it hasn’t felt like I’ve been reading more than I usually can in a week but it’s gotten me more motivated compared to the past couple of months, so that’s good. Hopefully I’ll finish Counting Stars over the weekend. I was sent this copy for review, so I’d like to have my thoughts up over the coming week.
Day 6, Jan 9
Continued: Counting Stars by Keris Stainton, The Heavenly Collection by Annie Dalton
Pages read: 62
Saturday turned out to be a whole lot busier than I had anticipated. When I signed up for Bout of Books, I thought I’d be able to dedicate this whole day to reading. Other plans cropped up and reading had to be shoved to the back burner.

Sarah @ Flood of Books, etc. says
You are doing great! Wasn’t the Twitter chat so much fun!
Joséphine Simone says
Thank you, Sarah! It was fun but also a little overwhelming for a first-timer like me. Haha. How does anyone even keep track of anything during that hour?!
Sarah @ Flood of Books, etc. says
Lol, we really don’t. Sometimes I will go back and read through everything after the Twitter chat is over. I can’t wait for today’s chat! Hope you get to join us again!
