Bookstagram 101: Dealing with Copyright Infringement

February 15, 2017

Bookstagram 101 - Dealing with Copyright InfringementOne frustrating thing about bookstagram is copyright infringement. This happens when someone else reposts an image without permission from the photographer or illustrator. To be clear, crediting the content producer doesn’t absolve anyone of violating copyright. The point of contention is permission.

Hot off the Press — Stay up to date with weekly YA releases | wordrevel.comLooking at this week’s releases, I’m happy to see that they entail a fair bit of diversity. American Street focuses on Haitian immigrants to the US, Piecing Me Together is an own voices book about a black girl who’s into art, We Are Okay also has a POC main character and involves LGBTQ+ themes, and Painless explores the life of of a teen who can’t feel pain due to a neurological disorder.

Hot off the Press – February 6, 2017

February 8, 2017

Hot off the Press — Stay up to date with weekly YA releases | wordrevel.comThis round of new YA releases is up later than usual, for which I apologise! The past week has been much busier for me than I anticipated, so I didn’t get to collate all the titles sooner. That being said, there’s quite a selection to choose from spanning all the genres. Both new and paperback releases encompass a number of exciting books. Most hyped among these are Wintersong, Empress of a Thousand Skies, and King’s Cage. Aside from these, I look forward to Crazy Messy Beautiful, which looks to feature a cast of diverse characters.

January 2017 Overview

February 4, 2017

January 2017 Overview – Books I read this monthJanuary was one of the best reading months I’ve had in quite some time. Altogether I finished 16 books, which is double of what I read most months in 2016. The average rating is 3.454 out of 5. Blogging less and not spending so much time on Instagram and Twitter contributed a lot more reading time, that’s for sure.

Convenience of Mini Backdrops — 5 benefits of using vinyl backgrounds for photographyLast year I had the pleasure of being selected as a brand ambassador for Mini Backdrops. Over four months have passed since I received my choice of designs, so my three-month stint is already up. Still, I like them so much, I want to share some of the benefits I particularly have come to appreciate about Mini Backdrops.
