Sometimes the light conditions aren’t ideal when we do have time to take our bookstagram photos. In this case, I took the photo on an overcast day, so the light in my study wasn’t even. This can be seen by the overexposed book spine which was directly facing my window. This problem can be fixed in Photoshop with the burn tool.
Retrospect #84–86: August 23
I decided to give graphic novels a go, starting with Nimona, which was great fun. When I was still in secondary school I used to borrow Manga books from the libraries (public library, school library, language school library) but then stopped reading them when everything started to look the same to me. I wasn’t invested enough to buy them and was happy to borrow them.
Overview: July 2015
Preview: Nimona
I have no idea what Nimona is about. The sole reason I picked it up at the library is that one of the Popsugar Reading Challenge prompts is “A graphic novel” and Nimona is one. Of course, I didn’t pick it all that randomly. I’ve seen a whole lot of people I follow on Instagram and Twitter gush about it. Seeing how I have no idea where to even start with graphic novels, I figured I might as well start here.
