5 Reasons for Multi-Format Reading

June 24, 2015

Multi-format reading with ACOTARWhat is multi-format reading? you might ask. Well, it’s the most accurate term I could think of to describe the kind of reading I do every once in a while: switching among various formats while reading one particular book title. For example, right now I’m reading All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. I started with the audiobook but once in a while I switch and read the paperback.

Staying Connected with Postmatic

June 10, 2015

Staying Connected with PostmaticEmail replies to blog comments are a great way to keep conversations going. When we comment on a blog, we seldom check back to see if we received any comment replies. Yet comment replies tend to encourage us to return to a blog. It’s nice knowing the blogger cares about our opinions. This is where Postmatic comes in. It’s a WordPress plugin aimed at keeping the conversation going by setting up an email commenting system.

Retrospect #73-75 (Triple Edition): June 7

June 7, 2015

Hardcovers book haul - The Raven Boys, Made You Up, 5 to 1 and ImmaculateAs I’m writing up this Retrospect post, I am listening to EDM/House music. I can’t believe it myself but Joey put together a list of recs, so here I am. Usually I listen to acoustic-driven music, such as from singer-songwriters, folk and a dash of indie. Deviating from that is a huge step into the unknown for me. So far I’m pleasantly surprised. I don’t think I could listen to his kind of music the whole day long but once in a while, why not?

Thanks for Stealing Photos

June 6, 2015

White stack of books with camera against stealing photosThe title of my post sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it? Why would anyone thank a thief? I know I wouldn’t. Yet every other day, I see precisely that happening on Instagram.

Preview: Daughter of Smoke and Bone

May 28, 2015

Reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor by Laini TaylorToday I start Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. As I’m going in with all sorts of expectations, I’m reading the series along with Elaine, Sana, Lillian, Georgie and Crini. Turns out I’m the only one among us reading DoSaB for the fist time. I’m hoping I’ll come to love it as much as them seeing how they’re all re-reading.
