Smash your piggy banks for extra change — September’s filled with many, many new books! Just looking at this week’s releases, I’m excited. I’m also making sure to watch my bank account a little more closely to make sure I don’t buy too many books. Then again, this is my birthday month, so who knows how that will go.

YA releases are picking up again this week! These books are a great selection to choose from, particularly if Twilight and The Hunger Games are the only two YA books in your repertoire. It’s getting old and tired that every other week articles spring up in news outlets over the inferiority of young adult fiction. Just looking at the YA books that hit the shelves every week, it’s evident that they’re multi-faceted and offer a lot f variety for readers. Now, if you’re here for your weekly update, have fun seeking new reads!

August is proving to be a very slow month for YA releases. Even reprints aren’t hitting the shelves as furiously as they did during the first half of the year. Fans of Court of Fives by Kate Elliott and The Stars Never Rise by Rachel Vincent however, will be happy to pick up the respective sequels: Poisoned Blade and The Flame Never Dies.
