Book Spine Poetry
Book spine poetry’s hands-down my favourite kind of bookish challenge. I was excited to see it return for this year’s Love-A-Thon. This time round I limited myself to my TBR pile. Another personal goal was to use at least eight or seven books.
The Careful Undressing of Love
Shattered, uprooted, blue,
the world outside — very in pieces.
A gathering of shadows
down from the mountain;
a shadow bright and burning.
Ruin and rising,
the sense of an ending after summer.

Ahhh, your poem is so good! I find book spine poetry a lot of fun, but also challenging. There are so many possibilities that I get paralyzed with indecision. :-P
