Mise-en-scène #3: Rain

February 6, 2015

Ebook of Made You Up by Francesca Zappia in the rain

Sometimes waiting for a highly anticipated book feels like being left out in the rain. (Made You Up by Francesca Zappia will be published May 19, 2015.) Still, if there’s one thing I love, it’s rainy nights. The air is fresh and cool as I sit by my window and curl up in bed to read. When I’m, done reading, the rain becomes a lullaby that rocks me to sleep.

Behind the Scene

For this week, I have to say the theme stumped me. It didn’t rain over the past two weeks save for last Wednesday afternoon when I was cooped up in a warehouse. I had almost resigned myself to a rainless photo when last night, I realized I didn’t have to wait for rain. I could “make it rain” myself!

As Gumperson’s Law goes, of course, it was raining when I woke up a few hours ago. At least this pushed my creativity with resources available to me.

Remember to visit What She Reads for Georgie’s rain-inspired photo and add your link to your photo in the linky widget down below!

Mise-en-scène is a weekly feature/meme that Georgie and I created to challenge ourselves in (bookish) photography.
