WINTER by Marissa Meyer

December 19, 2015

Book cover & rating - Winter by Marissa MeyerWinter’s release was postponed by many months, leading to lots of sadness all around. As consolation, we received Fairest (#3.5) earlier this year to ease the waiting. Now the question is, was it worth waiting so long for Winter? I say, definitely! For one, it takes a lot of time to write 824 pages. It also takes a very long time to edit these pages to perfection.

FAIREST (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) by Marissa Meyer

FAIREST (The Lunar Chronicles #3.5) by Marissa MeyerWinter is coming! In the lead-up to its release I realized that I hadn’t posted my review of Cress and Fairest yet. So, here we go with my thoughts on Fairest, which I enjoyed a lot. The focus on Queen Levant added a fresh perspective to the series since she’s the villain in The Lunar Chronicles.

SCARLET (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer

Book cover of SCARLET (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa MeyerLittle Red Riding Hood doesn’t count among my favourite fairy tales. In fact, I have no fondness for it at all. That’s why I was hesitant about about reading Scarlet when I found out that the retelling was based on that fairy tale. Amazingly, I thoroughly loved Scarlet — even more so than Cinder.

CINDER (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

Audiobook cover of CINDER by Marissa Meyer narrated by Rebecca SolerCinder wasn’t technically on the list of books I wanted to read. Sure, I had seen bloggers rave about The Lunar Chronicles but somehow I let all that excitement pass me by. Big mistake! Cinder was wonderful!
