Since I last played with snow ten years ago when I spent Christmas in Germany, books are the closest that I’m able to get to the icy depths of winter. This also means that my thermos bottle carries chilled water more often than hot beverages.
Project 52 – Bucket List
Happy New Year, guys! Georgie and I are delighted to kick off 2016 with our weekly book photography challenge. We’ve had a number of people sign up so far and a few more who expressed interest in participating. If you would like to join us in our bookish project, hop on over here to sign up.

Bookish Scene: Project 52
Amidst the many challenges available to book lovers, the focus is predominantly on reading. Some of us want to read more diversely, some want to read more, while others want to delve into particular genres on a deeper level. Georgie and I are hosting a different challenge for book lovers. Bookish Scene: Project 52 is about photography and showcasing books to fit weekly themes.
Mise-en-scène: Bookmarks
The funny thing about me is that I don’t like using my favourite bookmarks. I still like using nice one but the nicest ones stay tucked away in my drawers. This Korean embroidered bookmark is a prime example. It looks so pretty and I find it too exquisite to use. See, I’m always afraid of losing them. I already lost one bookmark that I particularly loved between the pages of a library book. Sadly, I only realised this when I returned home from dropping my books at the library.
