After months of closure due to renovation, Sembawang Public Library finally opened its doors again last month. I like that it’s further up north away from the hustle and bustle of town, so not that many people have discovered it yet. It has such a hipster vibe too, I can’t help but love it.
Book Cover Culture #7: Cinder
The first time I saw the US cover of Cinder, I was instantly drawn to it. The red heel is so striking, it immediately draws in the eye. Add on the X-ray view of the leg, which reveals mechanical parts rather than bones and it is bound to attract attention.
Wishing for a Musical Instrument
When I read Get Happy by Mary Amato, the one thing that sprung out at me was Minerva’s desire for an ukulele. The book starts off with her birthday and her extreme disappointment when she didn’t receive an ukulele. I could relate because when I was younger, all I wanted was a recorder.
Book Blogging is a Community
When I first starting book blogging, I pretty much expected to post my reviews into a void with maybe an occasional reader. I didn’t expect anyone to ever comment on my blog or to ever be truly interested in anything I had to say, let alone be interested in who I was.
Photography Apps I Use
There might be ten photography apps (excluding native apps) installed on my iPhone but I only use four apps regularly and another two occasionally. I could delete the rest from my phone but once in a while it’s good to have them. In any case, I thought I’d introduce the photography apps I use.
