Retrospect #45: November 9th

November 9, 2014

Reading in BedI’ve been pretty much under the weather the past week. Spent a lot of the time in bed reading since I’ve not been able to do much else useful. This means that there’s nothing new from me to share. At least I did manage to write two blog posts this week. And reading always is a perk.

Retrospect #43-44 (Double Edition): November 2nd

Library books tagged with due datesThe past two weeks were rather exciting weeks in the blogosphere yet somewhat disillusioning too. By now most everyone should have heard of Kathleen Hale and perhaps Richard Brittain as well.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer on Kindle and AudibleSo, uhm, it has been four weeks since I last posted a weekly review. Needless to say, a lot has happened since then. It’s so much, I don’t even know where to begin. For one, work has pretty much taken over most of my waking life. I think it’s safe to say that that is the case for most people when they start out — some more some less. I probably belong to the “more” camp. I am that overwhelmed. But I think I can handle it.

Retrospect #38: September 21st

Half title page of Scandal by Sarah Ockler for #minimalistbooksThe past week was exceedingly busy for me, so I didn’t have as much time to read as I would have liked. I’m back to training with my club twice a week now that we’re gearing up for our league to start in two to three months. As much as I like my free time, I look forward to spending more time on court again.

Banana chocolate ice creamSingle-ingredient banana ice cream is the best! It’s so easy to make without an once cream maker, so I’ve been experimenting with it. I especially like that it doesn’t require any addition of sugar. Plus, by making my own ice cream, I know there aren’t any preservatives or other ingredients that are questionable for health.
