This month I picked The Archived by Victoria Schwab for Hazel and she picked Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins for me. Schwab is an excellent storyteller, so I can’t wait to see what Hazel thinks of The Archived.
Mise-en-scène #10: Flowers
Ixora have been fiercely in bloom lately, so they were the first flowers that came to my mind for this week’s theme. They also reminded me of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which I’ve yet to read. There’re just so many books you’d expect a bookworm to have read, I sometimes feel that it’s impossible to keep up. At least I know I’ll never run out because I’ll always have a whole row of good unread books to look forward to.

Preview: Shadow and Bone
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo has been on my TBR pile since last year but I put off reading it for the vainest reason: I wanted to own a matching set of the trilogy. The edition I had chosen was the UK paperbacks published by Orion Books. That purple cover of Shadow and Bone completely won me over! Trouble is, this particular edition of Ruin and Rising (the third book) will only be released June 4, 2015.
