This week’s Retrospect is rather different because it’s not one of my usual weekly recaps. I took a vacation not only from my everyday life but from blogging and social media as well. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have news to share.
Retrospect #71: May 10
Two things: my sister’s finally on her semester break, which means all the book pushing commences! I’m starting her off with Cinder and The Raven Boys. I can’t wait to see what she thinks of them. It’s always fun discussing books with her. Sadly, she has next to no time to read during the semesters when she’s swamped with projects at uni. The other thing is, I’m finally gonna be off for my vacation this week. Exciting stuff!
Retrospect #70: May 3
If there’s on thing to be said about this week, it’s the week that the sad news broke about The Raven King. It was originally supposed to be published in September this year but not anymore. Now it’s slated for February 2016. Maggie Stiefvater explained on her blog why the last book in The Raven Cycle series will come out five months later.
Retrospect #68-69 (Double Edition): April 26
Life’s been good. I’ve mostly recovered and stopped coughing. I only cough when I sing too much; probably if I were to exercise too but I’ve not tried that yet. Of course, there have been ups and downs but things have mostly been quiet for me lately, which has been a nice change of pace. I also look forward to spending a week in the Philippines this coming month.
Retrospect #65-67 (Triple Edition): April 12
The past few weeks weren’t all too great for me. I was down with a terrible flu for nearly two weeks and even as I’ve mostly recovered, I’m still coughing on occasion. Some days I’d sleep 8 hours, awake an hour in the morning and then sleep another 7 hours. I was just so out of it, that I couldn’t do much. This explains my lack of recent posts as well. Thankfully I’m alright now and am back to blogging.
