GET HAPPY by Mary Amato

November 19, 2014

GET HAPPY by Mary AmatoGet Happy is such a sweet book with the right amount of conflict and tension. I liked Minerva right from the start. She was kinda bratty at first but a very self-aware brat fluent in sarcasm, so reading this book amused me tremendously.

Retrospect #46: November 16th

November 16, 2014

book haul of an eclectic readerMy health has been restored! I am no longer bound to my bed, suffering from a flu. After 10 to 11 days of drowsiness and general miserableness, alleviated by more reading time, I officially declared myself recovered on Thursday. By then my nose was clear and my headaches were gone too. That’s pretty much the best news of the week.

How to Read All the Time

November 14, 2014

Alternating between book and audiobook to read all the timeWhen I was younger I truly read all the time. I read with a torchlight under my blanket when my parents thought I was asleep. I read under the desk in class. I read while walking on the streets. I read during school assemblies with my books half-tucked into my bag. I read while eating. I read while waiting.

Photography: Bright Colours and Soft Shadows

November 12, 2014

Bright colourful booksEvery now and then I receive comments on Instagram about how someone loves the brightness of my photos. Some even ask me what filters I use to achieve that kind of brightness. I rarely ever use filters. If I do, it’s to achieve a particular mood but that doesn’t really apply to book photography.

THE GEOGRAPHY OF YOU AND ME by Jennifer E. Smith

November 11, 2014

THE GEOGRAPHY OF YOU AND ME by Jennifer E. SmithWhen I finished reading The Geography of You and Me, I wasn’t terribly impacted but I could appreciate the good parts of the book. The thing about life is that a lot of experiences are so outrageous, we’d be in utter disbelief were we to read about them in a book.
