It’s Valentine’s Day this Sunday, so today’s theme kinda is an ode to that. Heart can mean a lot of different things though. While I think it’s important to enjoy the single life if that’s where you’re at, I also believe life is empty without love. That’s why I constantly seek out books that focus on friendship. The heart of a friend is an amazing gift and something to treasure always. And so, in the spirit of friendship, I’m currently reading Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard.
Bookstagram 101: Real Time vs. Planned Content
Initially I planned to either cover apps that aid productivity or programs to edit photos on computers. The more I thought about it, the more I became convinced that we should tackle this topic first: real time vs. planned content. There are different approaches and there’s no hard and fast rule but it is worth thinking about levels of spontaneity. Knowing which approach you choose will make it a lot easier to keep your bookstagram account going.
ASSASSIN’S HEART by Sarah Ahiers
Assassin’s Heart wasn’t a book that I had prioritised to read. The reason I got to it so soon after publication was that I had the maximum 6 credits on my Audible account. In order not to forfeit any credits, I had to spend one before the new cycle. Since Assassin’s Heart was the only book available as an audiobook from my TBR (to be read) pile among the titles I didn’t own, I went for it. Essentially, I went in without any set expectations.
Project 52 – Tea vs. Coffee
Between tea and coffee there’s no contest for me in the least. Tea wins any day. From ginger to peppermint, from green to Earl Grey, from masala chai to fruit teas, there’s so much variety to choose from. Growing up with all sorts of teas taught me appreciation for tea from a very young age, much like my love for books was fostered since before I first learnt to read. Today I find nothing more comforting than settling down with a good book and a mug of hot tea.
Bookstagram 101: Ten Photo Editing Apps
Before going into today’s topic on the useful apps for bookstagram, there’re a couple of things I should point out. My aim is to present breadth rather than depth. If I were to outline the workflows for all the apps I’m presenting, we’d still be here tomorrow. Another point to note: I’m an iPhone user. I’ve never had an Android phone and have only had brief moments with a Windows operated phone.
