Hot off the Press – January 8, 2018

January 9, 2018

Hot off the Press — Stay up to date with weekly YA releases | wordrevel.comSome new releases, and a lot of re-releases hit the shelves this week. I’ve yet to read Scythe but the hype around Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman makes me wanna get started on this series soon! A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard is arriving in the US this week. I recommended picking it up. Other than that, I lament that I hated The Graces because the cover of The Curses looks stunning! If you enjoyed the first book, those US editions will look great together.

November 2017 Overview

December 27, 2017

November 2017 Overview – Print books I readIn November, I found a lot more time to read than I had expected. My family’s home has been under renovation since September. With the completion weeks overdue, I thought I’d be much busier overseeing the progress. I did spend a lot of time on that but my reduced Internet access saw me turning more to books than to my laptop and smartphone. Plus, I was determined to work myself through the pile of books that I received for review. Overall, I finished 14 books, making November a really good reading month.
