When I was younger, my mother would often scold that I read too much. She claimed that if I kept it up, I’d have to wear glasses. Since my younger sister got glasses much earlier than me, I didn’t listen to my mother. Yet true enough, the week I turned 13, my optometrist told me I had to get a pair of glasses too.
Mise-en-scène: A photography challenge with Georgie & Joséphine
Imagine my delight when Georgie asked me if I was up for some collaborative posts this year involving photography! Of course I agreed to it and thus Mise-en-scène has come to be. We would like to challenge ourselves creatively in book photography and welcome anyone who would like to join us in our endeavour.
Keeping Track of Series
When it came to series, I was convinced that I was in the midst of five or maybe six of them but surely no more than ten. This week I found out that I was way off the mark with my estimations. The current tally is a grand total of 24. I found out because I decided I had to come up with a system to track them and so set out to do up a spreadsheet.
Book Cover Culture #8: Ruby Red
Ruby Red is a book I that I listened to in German because I wanted to try out the audiobook function in the Onleihe app using my iPhone. The thing with Onleihe is that audiobooks can only be downloaded on Windows because the files are WMA.
CINDER (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer
Cinder wasn’t technically on the list of books I wanted to read. Sure, I had seen bloggers rave about The Lunar Chronicles but somehow I let all that excitement pass me by. Big mistake! Cinder was wonderful!
