NIMONA by Noelle Stevenson

August 29, 2015

Book cover of NIMONA by Noelle StevensonNimona was something else. All I knew was that it’s a hyped up graphic novel and for someone clueless about them, I was looking for a place to start. I found my library had it, so I decided to borrow it the rest is history. I thoroughly enjoyed Nimona for being so refreshingly different. While the style of graphics didn’t entirely match my taste, it was consistent and very well done. Coupled with the premise, I found myself wanting me when I was done and closed the book.

FAHRENHEIT 451 by Ray Bradbury

May 27, 2015

FAHRENHEIT 451 by Ray BradburyHow does one even review classics? I think it hardly matters what a singular person like me thinks and blogs about them. Classics have been scrutinised till their words ran dry, I’m sure. Whether I like it or not probably doesn’t matter to anyone when deciding to read classics.

SCARLET (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer

March 4, 2015

Book cover of SCARLET (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa MeyerLittle Red Riding Hood doesn’t count among my favourite fairy tales. In fact, I have no fondness for it at all. That’s why I was hesitant about about reading Scarlet when I found out that the retelling was based on that fairy tale. Amazingly, I thoroughly loved Scarlet — even more so than Cinder.

CINDER (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

January 13, 2015

Audiobook cover of CINDER by Marissa Meyer narrated by Rebecca SolerCinder wasn’t technically on the list of books I wanted to read. Sure, I had seen bloggers rave about The Lunar Chronicles but somehow I let all that excitement pass me by. Big mistake! Cinder was wonderful!
