A BLIND SPOT FOR BOYS by Justina Chen

December 30, 2014

Book cover of A BLIND SPOT FOR BOYS by Justina ChenThis books is hands down my favourite book of 2014! I can say this with conviction to the highest degree because this is my last book review of the year. And I can already tell the two books I am currently reading will not trump A Blind Spot for Boys.

ASHES TO ASHES (Burn for Burn #3) by Jenny Han & Siobhan Vivian

December 22, 2014

ASHES TO ASHES (Burn for Burn #3) by Jenny Han & Siobhan VivianI did not see this coming. I thoroughly enjoyed Burn for Burn and Fire with Fire. Ashes to Ashes, however, left me cold. I was already 84% through the book and yet I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. That thought keeps nagging at me but reading the last few chapters would for me be a waste of time.

FREE TO FALL by Lauren Miller

FREE TO FALL by Lauren MillerAs I sit down here to review Free to Fall, my mind is till completely lost in Angelfall by Susan Ee, which I finished listening to only a while ago. No matter, I took down notes as I read Free to Fall, and sometimes impressions after a few weeks give a much better idea of the impact of a book.

SHOOTING YOURSELF by Haje Jan Kamps

December 8, 2014

SHOOTING YOURSELF by Haje Jan KampsRecently I found myself at one of the newly opened local libraries; specifically the one I dubbed the hipster library. Since a lot of the books on the shelves were new, I took it upon myself to check out all the photography books that caught my fancy. One of those books was Shooting Yourself.

THIS SIDE OF SALVATION by Jeri Smith-Ready

September 25, 2014

THIS SIDE OF SALVATION by Jeri Smith-ReadyThis Side of Salvation had a lot going for it. Sports, school, religion and romance — all things that are important to a sixteen-year-old. David had a bright future ahead of him in baseball. He trained just as hard for it off-season as he did during his seasons. College scouts were on the look-out for him and his high school coach had taught David all he could.
