As I sit down here to review Free to Fall, my mind is till completely lost in Angelfall by Susan Ee, which I finished listening to only a while ago. No matter, I took down notes as I read Free to Fall, and sometimes impressions after a few weeks give a much better idea of the impact of a book.
SWIPE (Swipe #1) by Evan Angler
Swipe didn’t really grip me until the last two or three chapters. The world building was impeccable throughout the book but I wasn’t sure where the plot was going until the book was almost over.
GET HAPPY by Mary Amato
Get Happy is such a sweet book with the right amount of conflict and tension. I liked Minerva right from the start. She was kinda bratty at first but a very self-aware brat fluent in sarcasm, so reading this book amused me tremendously.
THE GEOGRAPHY OF YOU AND ME by Jennifer E. Smith
When I finished reading The Geography of You and Me, I wasn’t terribly impacted but I could appreciate the good parts of the book. The thing about life is that a lot of experiences are so outrageous, we’d be in utter disbelief were we to read about them in a book.
THIS SIDE OF SALVATION by Jeri Smith-Ready
This Side of Salvation had a lot going for it. Sports, school, religion and romance — all things that are important to a sixteen-year-old. David had a bright future ahead of him in baseball. He trained just as hard for it off-season as he did during his seasons. College scouts were on the look-out for him and his high school coach had taught David all he could.
