THE STRANGE AND BEAUTIFUL SORROWS OF AVA LAVENDER by Leslye Walton

September 15, 2014

THE STRANGE AND BEAUTIFUL SORROWS OF AVA LAVENDER by Leslye WaltonThe Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender and I developed a love-hate relationship of sorts. The promises made in the prologue was wondrous and I was so excited to continue reading. By the time I reached the end I felt empty. I loved the style of writing adopted in the prologue. It captured my attention so vividly, I fully expected to fall in love with the rest of the story. Sadly, that didn’t happen.

LEAP OF FAITH by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

May 19, 2014

LEAP OF FAITH by Kimberly Brubaker BradleyBooks about religious exploration somehow fascinate me, so much so that I went ahead to request Leap of Faith from the public library’s repository. Library users who wish to borrow these books need to pay a small fee to reserve them, so that they can pick them up from their nearest library. I must say, I’m glad I specifically requested this book.

INTENTIONS by Deborah Heiligman

October 29, 2013

Rachel, as with everyone else in the community, adored Rabbi Cohn. He was her role model and a seemingly charming man. Whenever he led services, she would lap up every single word he said. In her eyes, he was perfect and he could do no wrong. That is, until the day she reached the temple…
